MEET THE BLUE MEANIES

BAND BIO

THE BLUE MEANIES -- one of the most popular British Invasion tribute bands in the New York Tri-State area -- take listeners on a fun musical tour of the 1960s and '70s, injecting new life into songs from rock's two best decades.

Their set includes music by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, The Kinks, The Moody Blues and The Dave Clark Five, plus American bands including The Monkees, The Byrds, The Doors, The Band and Creedence Clearwater Revival, to name just a few.

THE BLUE MEANIES

are GARY OWEN (guitar and vocals), BRIAN CANCEMI (guitar and vocals), SCOTT RINGLE (guitar and vocals), DAMIAN FANELLI (lead guitar and vocals), TONY FANELLI (bass guitar and vocals) and JOHN "J.T." THOMAS (drums and percussion).

THE BLUE MEANIES have performed at International Beatles Week in Liverpool, England, and have become regulars at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City, where they have performed (or will perform) three themed shows honoring the British Invasion, The Monkees and The Kinks.

THE BLUE MEANIES are fan favorites at the annual Abbey Road on the River festival in Louisville, Ky. They often host the late-night jam session at the annual Fest For Beatles Fans in Secaucus, N.J. The band, a fixture at the NY/NJ Fest for 27-plus years, also has hosted jam sessions at Fests in Boston and Chicago.

The band released their first full-length CD, THE BLUE MEANIES, in 2009. The CD is available at all their shows.
