BLUE MEANIES ANNOUNCE BABOON CLOTHING DRIVE
When The Blue Meanies were recently informed that only one baboon in 17 owns pajamas and cotton underwear, they were justifiably outraged. "It's ludicrous," screamed singer/guitarist Gary Owen. "I am justifiably outraged. We -- The Blue Meanies -- will use our endless resources to clothe the poor fellows. They are, after all, our fellow primates." The band has announced it will host a baboon clothing drive in early 2014. Pajamas and cotton underwear only; please do not bring meat. More details are forthcoming.

STUDY: MEANIES STRONGER THAN GIANT GERBILS
After a 17-year study, a team of European scientists has announced that six Blue Meanies would most likely defeat an equal or greater number of giant gerbils in a Vietnamese gang-style rumble. The team considered several scenarios, including basic hand-to-claw combat and larger-scale battles involving a myriad of simple tools and weapons.
